On the eve of Chile’s approval or rejection of the new constitution presented by the Constitutional Convention, the debate in the mining sector has developed around the scope it will have in terms of exploration and development of the industry. This is in addition to the modifications to the mining code introduced at the end of 2021 by the government at that time, within the framework of the Guaranteed Universal Pension project.
Likewise, the discussion on the capture by the State of the economic income generated by the mining activity and its tax regime has materialized in two bills: on the one hand, the Royalty bill being discussed in Congress; and on the other hand, the Tax Reform bill, which includes a new royalty proposal presented by the Government.

Together with experts in these matters, we will analyze the impact of the modification of the legislation, in this seminar organized by CESCO and Chile Explore Group, and sponsored by Anglo American Collahuasi and SQM.
