Cerro Grande regains control of Pimentón

9 December, 2020 By chilexploregroup Leave a Comment

Through its wholly-owned subsidiary Minera Til Til, the company completed the acquisition of the mining concessions comprising the gold-copper Pimentón project from Minera Tamidak. Pimentón was previously owned by another Cerro Grande subsidiary, Pimento, that declared bankruptcy on 2016 and was subsequently bought by Tamidak. With this reacquisition, Cerro Grande regains control of Pimentón, a 3,121-hectare project located 120 km northeast of Santiago. The current agreement contemplates a joint-venture with First Quantum, which will carry a 3D geophysical survey on Pimentón and retain the option to incorporate a third company with Cerro Grande, JV, for the eventual exploitation of the project.
