The geological records office Sernageomin appointed University of Chile geologist Alejandra Ávila as director of the office’s geological services arm. Ávila brings 30 years of experience to the role, and is an active member of Chile’s geology professionals body Colegio de Geólogos de Chile (CGCH), national geology society SGCH, Women in Mining (WIM) and top women executives network REDMAD.
